VISA Help / Letters of Invitation
We are unable to offer letters of invitation or to assist with visa applications under any circumstances until the conference registration fee is paid IN FULL. Emails relating to such requests that are received prior to registration fee payment will not be answered.
Once payment is made, we will provide the necessary documentation to help in obtaining a visa, or requests for funding to appropriate bodies. If delegates are subsequently unsuccessful in obtaining a visa, we will refund the registration fee (less a handling fee) upon evidence of a visa refusal providing the registration is cancelled in accordance with our cancellation policy. The handling fee is charged in recognition of the fact that costs are incurred in the processing of these applications.
Fraudulent refund requests will not be honoured.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Visa Requirements
Full details of entry requirements can be found on the Federal Foreign Office website in both English and German.
If you have any questions about obtaining a visa in order to attend the conference please visit this FAQ first. The list of countries which need a visa can be found here. If you do not need a visa the following does not apply to you.
The conference organisers will provide confirmation of registration to delegates who have registered and paid their fees in full. We will send a pdf via email and / or a letter (normal air mail) to you after registration and clearance of the payment. We will not sign any forms ("Verpflichtungserklaerung") which states that the organisers of the conference cover any costs related to the trip to visit the conference (e.g. the expenses associated with the trip, a formal pledge to cover all costs (declaration of commitment), health care insurance, etc.).
We will not provide proof of registration before the registration and payment is processed so please do not request this from us. We will not answer such request. Any visa related question please check the FAQ or contact the German missions abroad.
Delegate Financial Sponsorship/Support
Unfortunately the conference organisers are unable to offer monetary sponsorship or reduced registration fees for participation in the INC2010 conference.
Sponsorship may be possible through your local, state or government organisation in your country or you can check the web pages of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for sponsorship opportunities. Their worldwide local/regional offices are listed here. Funding opportunities are listed by Region/Country and can be found here as well as a list of their Alumni Clubs which might provide further assistance.
Please note, we are unable to reply to emails regarding reduced fees, fee waiver or direct financial aid for any delegates (including authors) to attend the conference.
